Spiritos Properties is committed to building tall wood buildings, mass timber buildings and promoting the adoption of mass timber buildings in the design, construction and real estate industry. Our goal is to share what we have learned since our team was selected as one of the two winners of the US Tall Wood Building Competition in 2015. The project, 475 West 18th Street, in New York City, gave us the opportunity to meet with the leading industry participants from Europe and North America, to learn mass timber building systems and technology, research and engineering. We keep current on innovation through these relationships and deep involvement throughout much of the World.

The mass timber era of building buildings is underway, begun and now firmly established in Europe, and now coming to the United States by way of western Canada. More and more countries and cities, Japan, Melbourne, Sydney, Rio de Janero, Portland, Montreal, Quebec have joined the timber building movement, with diverse and versatile structures emerging, sending a clear signal to the world that building with timber is the way forward, for the health of our planet and the health of building users.
